Could not allocate space for object 'dbo' PJOURNAL

I'm getting the following error when trying to print or post a JE in Dynamics GP2016.

Could not allocate space for object 'dbo' PJOURNAL' in database 'XXX' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full.  Create disk space by deleting undeeded files, dropping objects in the filegroup, adding ad

Once I press OK I get the following error:

The stored procedure glpPostBatch returned the following results"

DBMS:  1105, Microsoft Dynamics GP: 0

There is plenty of drive space so that's not the problem.  The database was switched from FULL to SIMPLE but I switched it back again.

The Autogrowth / Maxsize is By 20 percent, Unlimited

I don't know what else to check.  We're entirely shutdown and we don't have a backup because IT apparently moved us to a new server and the backups weren't running!

Can anyone help me, we're desperate???

TIA,

Desperate

Have you tried stopping/starting the SQL services?

Issue is related to your sql, as you mentioned you switch b/w FULL to SIMPLE and back.

    check this link.

Thanks for your quick reply.  And, yes I did stop and start SQL.  But, just the SQL Server.  There were other SQL Services running. I'll reboot the SQL Server now.

Thanks for your timely response.  I'm confused about what to do next.  That doc references limited drive space and that's not the case.

I did just reboot the server so all SQL services were stopped and restarted.

I have not tried Checklinks yet, do you think that will help?

I don't think you need to run checklinks.

    So rebooting helped?

No rebooting did not help.  I did however run the select statement that indicates that the Max size is unlimited.  And, the drive space is not full either.  See below.  Anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks.  I will at some point because they had posting interruptions when they first discovered the problem last Thursday.  System has been down since Thursday!!!

If you right-click on your database and then Properties and check Filegroups, what do you see?
