Shortage Report in GP / Available to Promise

Hi All,

We have some of the BOM items(various levels) present in the stock. We want to know/have an idea to see how many FG items can be manufactured using this BOM items.

To tackle this, do we need to generate production order and see any shortage is generated for the BOM items? How is the work around?

I tried using CTP from Willoware but is not working the way we desire it to work. 

We are essentially looking for a shortage report & list of SKUs those would be affected in absence of BOM Items.

    Just a follow up question - In case , I want to check this for 'Multiple BOMs' all at once? is that possible?
     
     
    Additionally , how is the path of accessing this transaction? Is it under transaction / Inquiry - can you please guide?

    Just one follow up question - Can it be used for 'Multiple BOMs' at once? & is there a way to extract a report out of it?

    Items for which reservation is not generated may tell us the shortage & hence possibility of not manufacturing the particular SKU

    A routing is selected. ...

    The bill of materials is exploded and the items in the bill of materials are transferred to the order.

    Reservations are generated for stock items in the bill of material.

    The planned costs for the order are generated.  Krowd Darden
