Hi
I need to be able to generate a list of workers and the cost center they are linked with ideally also include Worker_Cost_Centre. The information is located in the workers record then you click on Employment History which leads you to the information -
I thought I might be able to accomplish this through data management section but I have been looking at it all day and cant find how the cost center info links to the worker.
I found this post that looked promising : list-of-workers-that-is-using-a-specific-cost-center but when I follow the verified answer I don't have the option for Dimension code set when I select Employment this is all I see -
Hi Girish
I have managed it with your guidance. For some reason the Employment table that is in the join section by default on Workers isn't correct so I added a second one. There where 2 options for Employment so through trail and error I found the one that would allow the direct join to Dimension code set.
Thank you very much for you time and efforts on this you a star.
Cheers;
Median
Can you remove the Dimension code charts of accounts override table from joins and check.
Also is there any security role assigned to you?
Thanks,
Girish S.
Hi Girish
Yes unfortunately when I try and do this this is what I see -
I go to workers section on the workers list (HcmWorkerListPage) then click Advanced Filter>Join select Employment -
Click +Add table join and this is what I see on my table list just 1 table there are no filters set on the columns -
Any ideas?
Thanks
Median
You need to select the Employment table and then select "Add table join" button.
After that click on Show details toggle button to see the full details - On that select Dimension code set.
After that you can add the ranges to the query.
Thanks,
Girish S.
Hi Billur
I have put more details on what I have tried on my response to Girish but wanted to response to you as well to thank you for your response.
I always appreciate people trying to help me on forums as your taking your own time to do so.
Back to my query -
I have expanded on what I have been trying to clarify where I'm at. If I can add the cost codes into the table list on Worker that would be great. The problem I have at the moment is I can't seem to locate the table which holds the cost codes or worker cost codes. I don't get the Dimension code set table option like what is shown in the link on my original post.
I have joined and checked the tables I do get a choice of when I search for Dimension in the Relation column within the Advance Filter>Join section. Then the tables it brings up (see response to Girish for screen shot) I have joined them on Worker and checked the columns within the tables on the Range tab but none hold the Cost Center data.
Any further guidance would be awesome
Thanks again
Median
Hi Girish
Thanks for your response. The link in my first post is what I tried to follow on the Workers list (below is a screen shot of the area I mean).
So I click the Advanced Filter under the options tab then click on Joins> Add Table Join then look for table reference on the link named Dimension code set but we don't have it. This is what I get when I search Dimension on the Relation Column when the Worker table is selected -
Tried the "Dimension code chart of accounts override" table but the cost codes are no in there.
Thanks Median
If you need to filter you can, if you need to add to the report then you need development.
For filtering option you need to select correct tables for the joins.
Hi Median,
Same information is available under Human resource > workers > select any worker >> Employment (Tab) >> Financial dimensions.
So you need to do advance filter option on the worker form not on the employment history form.
Try adding the Dimension code set on the worker advance filter form.
Thanks,
Girish S.
