Problems in Trial Balance Detail/Summary Report (#10021)

ReportReport
Posted on by

I've found these issues with the North American report 10021 Trial Balance Detail/Summary, Version tag NAVNA7.10.  They can be reproduced in Cronus and I'm posting here in hopes the development team will view and correct them in the next cumulative update.

*  Report option "Show: Accounts With Balances" or "Show: Accounts with Activities"
If the filters return no data, report Preview returns
"An error occurred during local report processing.
The Hidden espression used in tablix 'Table1' returned a data type that is not valid."
*  Report option "Print Transaction Detail"
The subtotal line "Beginning Balance" prints twice for each G/L Account
*  Report totals are always forced to a new page at the end of the report; is this necessary?  Would prefer them to follow the last printed account.

Does anyone know how to move the "Report Totals" to appear on first page. The body of the report is extending and printing blank data which is forcing a second page. Thanks

RE: Problems in Trial Balance Detail/Summary Report (#10021)

Found Solution for this Report Error.

the Hidden Expression In layout is the reason for this error.
hidden expression is First(Boolean var) Gives Blank Value in Dataset because of the filters there is no data available in NAV and it will generate Blank Dataset.

    Solution :

Rsolve this issue by Using IsNothing(Standard Exp.,True,False) Layout hidden expression and its done.

    hi,

check in the report if there are tables (tablixes) with field entries in red font color. if so, these are controls you could delete. before deleting check the visibility.

the problem of controls, which are set invisible is, that they are printed anyway. that means on the print there is space reserved for them. so, to do not print these controls remove them. use only controls in reports, which are really used.
