Fixed assets - Block a specific fixed assets from more acquisitions

Hi,

I´m trying to find a function in AX that blocks acquisitions on a specific fixed asset.

I know that is possible to do multiple acqusitions, but when they are done it would have been nice to block the fixed assets from more acquisitions.

Does anybody know a solution for this?

    Hi David,

    There is one option that comes in my mind, But it is a dirty trick. If you specify you need to have a dimension on the aquisition main account, you can steer the value in the Asset Value models. The dimension value can be stopped for futher postings. Then you receive an error at time of posting the acquisition. Be aware that on disposal/sale the acquisition account will be reversed and needs a valid dimension value again.

    Otherwise you can achieve it with a customization where you can have a new tick box on the value models: "Acquisition" like the tick box "Depreciation".
