GL Trial Balance Detail report does not print monthly subtotals

I was asked to review why the GL Trial Balance Detail report was not printing monthly subtotals when that option was specified. Upon going into R/W I discovered someone had remove that report section. So I added it back in specifying all the criteria as the default version. No matter what I try I cannot get that section to print. Is there something else to do? I have checked all the calculated fields and they are correct. If I print with period subtotals I get period subtotals. This is GP 18.2.1100. As a last resort I could revert to the primary version and start over.

I found what was the issue. Someone had gone into R/W and change the section break so both monthly and period were breaking on the same thing.
