Creating Dialogs

A couple of years ago, I attended a CRM User Group conference where I was told that the Dialog capabilities were going away for CRM with the advent of D365.

Our company has finally started transitioning from CRM 2015 to D365 and I noticed that the Dialog function is still available. Now our version of D365 is currently on-prem but we will be making a move to online.

Will the Dialog be available for online version of D365 or am I to have access to it now that we are currently on-prem?

Microsoft suggests to use Business process flows or canvas apps:
