Can't Delete an Item due to dependent Price Groups in AX2012 R3

Hi,

I am trying to delete an Item incorrectly set up in AX2012 R3 & then recreate it correctly.

I am getting the following message.

'Items cannot be deleted while dependant Price group items exist. Delete dependant Price group items and try again.'

I have checked and there are no set ups for this Item in any Price Group and there have been no transactions done either.

Anyone come across this issue previously.

Rgds

Baxter

the error message is showing as its a result of delete action.

you can manually  verify by going into AOT>> Data Dictionary >> Tables >> PriceDiscTable

check if there are records for sure item cannot be deleted in that case, unless records are removed.

Note: checking records never means, delete from table. if you find records in table, delete those from appropriate forms

Go to the Retail module and look at the price groups there - I have a memory that it will write pricing to retail at item creation depending upon the configuration, you need to delete those elements first.

You will need to debug to get the specific table I am afraid. There is an entry in a related item in a table and it needs to be removed. Trying to search my email history to find the details, but no luck.

I presume you are looking in the table, and not from the form - it maybe a corrupt entry and not visible from the form.

    Hi,

you have to check MCRPriceDiscGroupItem table not PriceDiscTable table.  Please check any records exist in MCRPriceDiscGroupItem.

    It should solve your problem.

My Same problem is solved from MCRPriceHistory table. I have deleted item from the MCRPriceHisotry table.
