Hi,

I hope some one can help, when i go to customer payment journal in sales ledger to post a payment the new button at the top left is greyed out so i cannot click it to create a new payment journal. Can some one please help to fix this?

That means you have limited access to certain things. You should contact system administrator and request additional access if you need to do certain things like you mentioned creating customer payment journals.

You should go to System Administration > Users > filter by your user and check what roles are assigned to you .

can you please tell where to go to check security roles assigned to me?

Can you also check if you have correct security role assigned to your user? If you have access, elevate your permissions to admin and see if the button is still greyed out. This seems more security related than anything else.
