Hello,
I"m thinking about implementing field service in a organisation, any input on things i should consider when implementing, or a strategy i could use? Basically, how to achieve a successfull implementation?
Hi Denzo19913,
This section provides implementation guidance and best practices for Field Service.
I recommend watching the below video to get an understanding of some general Field Service deployment and implementation best practices.
With any implementation, you need to have good discovery and design. Field Service is NOT CRM. It has a lot of complicated processes and offline mobile that requires it’s not implementation / config cycles.
You need to understand the basics of what FS is, the functionality it entails and start there - the basics. My recommendation would also be to have another experienced FS person assist and provide guidance.
Take a look at this: docs.microsoft.com/.../user-guide
Agree with Scott and only want to add: for a successful implementation of Field Service, it is important to know what you should NOT be doing as much as what you should. An example is; it is not recommended to create any sync or async operation on the execution pipeline of Work Order creation. The understanding of the 'design philosophy' of field service product will come in handy, an ERD will be your friend. Good luck.
Thank you so much for your feedback! :)
