Batch Order RAF prevented by Sales Order Reservations

Hello, next question for day 21 of go live...

I'm on the production side.  My operators are trying to RAF product as it is produced to a batch order.  However, in some cases the reservations are not being removed from the Sales Orders before the jobs are started.  When we try to RAF more product than the amount on the Sales Order, we get an error stating "there are transactions with the status reserved... Dimensions can't be changed...

It seems so far if the reservations are removed before the job is started it is fine.  However, if the job is started and THEN reservations are removed, we still get the same error.  Does anyone know how to make this go away?  Long term, is there anyway to get the reservations to always automatically be removed or ignored? As it is now, our customer service reps are supposed to manually remove it before starting.

I should add the issue we are running in to this morning is that we are 22,000 lbs in to the RAF'ing and the last container produced just put us over the 21,000 on the sales order.  So we haven inventory in the system and in real life, but we can't get the last of the inventory that is on the ground in real life in to the system.

Are you creating the production orders directly from the sales order? I presume you are to create the reference.

Why do you need the reservation to the production order from the sales order?
