Today while trying to release a order from Salespad following error occured:
Cannot insert duplicate key row in object ‘dbo.DEX_LOCK’ with unique index ‘PK_DEX_LOCK’. The duplicate key value is (-xxxxxx, dbo.SOP10100), whats the possible reason for it?

As I stated earlier, this seems to be a SalesPad integration issue.. not sure how the SalesPad client is handling the dex_lock & des_session table entries.
You should contact your SalesPad integration partner..
One more thing on this...I asked the particular person who is having issue with above error to log out and log in again from salespad, why that is not solving the issue? logging out doesn't clear the session from dex_session table?? Even that person logged out and logged in again and created new document.

Thank you, I read dex_lock is associated with dex_session in tempdb, which keep tracks user session logged in, -xxxxxx is number in dex_row_id of sop101000 table, which keep tracks identity of individual user. Is there any way to fix the issue for that particular document by clearing session like that?
You should contact your SalesPad partner..
This looks like an integration issue with SP to GP.. the value -xxxxxx makes me think that it tries to reserve the next SO number, but fails. Or 2 users at the same time trying to enter a new Sales Order and there is no exclusive lock from SP...
