Insert ZIP/Postal Code for Company Address in AX 2012

I am creating an address for a legal entity through the following menu:

Organization administration --> Setup --> Organization --> Legal Entities --> Address fast tab --> Add

Now, I see fields for the Street, City, State, County etc.  However, I can't seem to find where to input the ZIP/postal code.  How can I do this please so that it shows up in the address?

Furthermore, from where can I enter the region e.g. EU?

    Hi Anthony76,

You need to look at the Address format that applies for the country you have set on the Legal Entities address.

Head to Org Admin -> Setup -> Addresses -> Address setup -> 'Country/region' tab. Check the address format that applies for that country. Head to the 'Address format' tab and find that address format. I assume it doesn't have 'ZipCode' in the bottom grid? You can add it, but that will affect all addresses in all countries that use that address format. Or you can select a different address format that you like for your Country. Or you can create a new address format, just for your country.

    Hi Terry,

Thank you so much for your answer :)  It worked!  One more question, in the address format, I have added the Region field.  I have also gone to the Country tab, located the country in question and assigned the region in the Region column.

However, it is not displaying in the addresses.  What could be the problem please?

I don't have a 'Region' field in the 'Address application object' drop-down on the 'Address format' tab. (However, I'm running en-gb, and it may be labelled differently in my language).

But on the Address format tab there is an 'Update addresses' button. You may find you need to run this.

Hmm...  Strange.  I am using en-gb and there is a Region field in the dropdown.  Yes, I have run the Update Addresses batch job but still no luck.

This is my drop-down (R3 CU8). Where does it appear in yours?

It appears in the same dropdown on mine.

The list comes from the Enum above. 'Area' and 'Region' appear not to be standard.

Hmm..  I think you are right.  I think that it is a customization.
