Added Column not available in views via Edit Columns or Edit Filters

I've added a yes/no toggle called CFT (Customer Facing Time) to the Appointment table and to the main Appointment form, as well as the Quick Create form.
 
The field appears on the forms, and the data can be seen in the record using Level Up's All Fields function.
 
Problem: The column does not appear in Edit Columns or Edit Filters functions for Activity Views.
 
Elsewhere in this forum I have seen one suggestion that this type of problem could be related to a column's visibility. Unfortunately, I have not found anything in the column definition that relates to visibility. See the column definition below.
 
I am both System Administrator and System Customizer.
 
Would greatly appreciate any help I can get with this.

    I think it is by design. You added field on Appointment table, you should go to appointment view to use it, not in activity view.

    Thank you, Ray. That was, indeed, the needed approach.
     
    It did require adding a separate link to Appointments to the Site Map to make it available to users -- but that was quickly done.
