Hi, I am a user in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016, and I keep on getting this error "Either the caller does not have the required permission or the specified path is read-only". I have googled some of the solution regarding this problem in which one of them are to go to the security tab in my Dynamics service folder and change the authorization to full user and stuff but it just does not work. Could someone please help me ?

It has this error. I am wondering if the company that I subscribed to, disconnect the server that I am using. Cause it was working well last night but today it suddenly has this problem when I try to log in to my NAV.

Check the Account assigned to Nav service

What do you mean by the account assigned to NAV service ? Should we have one when we implement the system ? I was not given any by my subscriber..

have you checked with your subscriber on the same? Is your server hosted on some external server or in-house?

It can be either security problem or connection problem. If your user has enough rights, you can also check connectivity issue: connection through this port should be free from antivirus or firewall blocking. Also, check if the service tier is actually running, and the account that runs the service tier should have dbowner rights in the database.

My server is in-house server. The thing is when I used my server to connect to NAV through localhost, it does not resolve the problem it has the same error messages.

I believe that I have given enough rights to the user and I do not have connection problem either. I do not have any changes made in the server as it was working well like on 11pm on Monday and suddenly when I tried to log in on Tuesday morning it just keep on giving me those error messages.

Please check the user you are using to run the NAV service has password working, if the user password is expired you might get these kind of error.
