Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Archived)

Automatic Service Price Condition

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi everybody,

I'm just new here and have only basic knowledge about Microsoft Dynamics Nav.
I'm working on car company and my boss gave me a task in Microsoft Dynamics Nav or we called it here like Dealership Management System.

My boss wants to first identify if the car "Initial Registration Date" is more than 7 years if yes then the service labor price will be deducted for 20% if not the regular price will be charge. He wants it automatic if I enter Initial Registration Date of car it will deduct automatically.

I know my question is confusing in some parts but as I say I just have a little knowledge in this software. And btw this is my first job so I am very eager to learn this thing so I can provide good quality of service to my company.

Thanks for any help.

Setting up discount pricing is relatively easy in NAV:

However you are basing this discount on the field "Initial Registration Date" with the trigger of ">7 years". Doing this automatically might require some customization from someone in development from your NAV Partner.

If you chose to do this manually you could simply look at the date and add that customer to the discount group you set up initially, a much quicker and cheaper option.

The company I'm working with I guess is a NAV partner.

Sounds like you'll need a modification to the system.

    Have you a NAV partner?

    Cheers

First of all identify the table and page/form where do you need this.

When do you need it exactly? after entering the Initial Registration Date in Page/form or after pressing any function etc.
