Restricting access to create/modify Vendor

Hi all,  I need to restrict privilege/duty which let the 'Accounting supervisor' role to create/modify vendors.  Can someone help me pinpoint this specific privilege which can be taken away in AX or D365O.   Thank you.

    Hi,

    In the default accounting supervisor role, the attached duty is 'inquire into Vendor master' while the duty which allows to create/modify vendors is 'maintain Vendor Master'. Please check whether this duty is added to the accounting supervisor security role or not.

    Thanks for your response Zain.  I checked and 'Maintain Vendor Master' is not part of the Accounting Supervisor duties or privileges, yet the user could create/modify vendor.  Not sure which other duty or privilege enabling to create/modify vendor.

    Hi,

    Someone would have altered the default security role then. You need to check the duties related to vendor. Click on edit duties option, see the entry points used on those duties. See the access level of each entry point. It must be changed from 'No access' to 'Create' or 'Full control'

    Strange, the roles Accounting supervisor and AP clerk do not have privilege to create/modify vendor.

    You are correct Zain.  I was able to locate the 'Maintain vendor master' and 'Maintain vendors' in 'Inquire into vendor master' role content. Modified access level from 'Full control' to only 'View' access level.  Hope this will resolve the issue.
