Hi,

I am trying to migrate security role from 2011 on-prem server to d365 on-prem.

When I connect 2011 using kingsway soft I am able to see 4 Security role related entities.

Role,

Role Privileges,

Role Template,

Role Template Privileges,

When I connect to D365 destination I can only see two entities.

Role, RoleTemplatePrivileges

How can i resolve this to migrate all role related settings

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I wonder why you don't see those entities. i see them.

    For instance, you can check with this url;

    [organization URI]/api/data/v9.0/roleprivilegescollection

    Regards,

I am curious about this question. We can add security roles as part of OOB Solution and then Export solution from source environment and import it into Target.

Is there any specific reason why you are using kingsway soft tool?

I am, that is why i gave that link to you to make you check if you see the entities. Did you check?

We are migrating from 2011 CRM to D365 direct migration with solution export and import is not possible. and to avoid intermediate environment we are trying using kingswaysoft

I did but through kingswaysoft they are not available. for upsert action only two entities are there and for create three.

These entities are not available because they are system entities and kingswaysoft has limitations or we can say CRM has built in setup for these entities to be available only for particular actions.

I am not quite sure this is problem of CRM or kingswaysoft. But we created security roles manually and migrated there settings after role creation. Other system entities we discussed with client and decided mutually to not migrate them.
