Is there a copy function for general journals in Dynamics 365 Finance?

Is there a copy function for General Journals like there is with Purchase Requisitions?  The scenario is that the GJ has to be reversed due to errors, what is the easiest way to reenter.  I know there has to be an easy solution but I am missing it.

There is no copy function for general journals.  Best workaround might be to open the original journal using Open in Excel, copy/paste the lines into a new journal in Open in Excel, edit it, and publish it.

    Hi,

To reverse GJ transactions, you can use click on reverse journal. you don't need to copy anything it will auto reverse.

    Hi,
As Frank said, this feature is not available in FO. I've only seen this kind of copy feature you described in BC.
    Best Regards,
    Hana

    Hi Amanda,

In other systems it's called Memorized Transactions.  In D365, the closest to a copy feature for general journals is the "Periodic Journals".  Once the 'type' of periodic journal is set up, then you can open up a new General Journal and select your GJ type, then click 'lines' in the header.  But instead of filling out the lines, all you need to do is click "Period Journal" in the header and select the drop down 'Retrieve journal'.  I have payroll journals that have number lines that I don't need to re-enter, I can just edit the amounts and or date and then post.
