    Hi,

         It can be happen when you assign the dotnet value to other dotnet variable.  But "RunOnClient" is different between source and destination.

    Eg.

    Variable

    Name    DataType    Subtype    Length
    ClientFileHelper    DotNet    System.String.'mscorlib' (RunOnClient - Yes)
    ServerFileHelper    DotNet    System.String.'mscorlib' (RunOnClient - No)

    ClientFileHelper := 'ClientFileHelper';
    ServerFileHelper := ClientFileHelper;

    You will get below error message if you run

    Microsoft Dynamics NAV
    ---------------------------

    Cannot serialize an instance of the following .NET Framework object: assembly mscorlib, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089, type System.String.
    ---------------------------
    OK
    ---------------------------

    Regards,

    Yukon

    You get this error, if you assign a server-side object to a client-side object and vice versa. So check, if all variables have set property RunOnClient to true.
