Re-approval workflow condition

Hi,

We have the Purchasing policies selected only the 3 fields
  • Purchase orders.Vendor account
  • Purchase order lines.Price unit
  • Purchase orders.Currency
When a PO is created from a requisition and was already fully approved. then we change an attribute on a PO - the re-approval workflow is always triggered as the workflow is not looking to the Purchasing policies - I believe we need to mimic the Purchasing policies on the workflow conditions.
Can you please help on setting the condition in the worflow that tells the F&O trigger the reapproval workflow only when the Vendor or price or currency has changed.

Thank you !

    Re-approval workflow condition
    Hi KS,
I personally use the same method as used in the first blog suggested by Uday. A first condition to see if there is an existing version, then another to see whether the re-approval policy is met.   However, the re-approval policy assumes that there was an approved version (approval #1) of the PO to compare against.   You will see the condition being used in the workflow condition (Is first approval?).

The condition 50 you have set should still work; the condition you have is referring to the purchasing policy (if requires re-approval according to policy, then go to AP for review).  I suspect that because the first approval was done on the Purchase Req, there is not a first version to compare a new version against.

You can see the versions on the Purchase Order from the Manage tab on the Action Menu ribbon.

Same thing happens if you were to have a Planned Purchase Order firmed into a PO.  If you change the delivery date (and its excluded from re-approval policy), the changed PO will be routed through the approval process because there is no baseline to compare the change against.
