When I try to publish a workflow I receive the following error:

"An error occurred when the workflow was being created. Try to save the workflow again".

I tried to create a new workflow and then publish again and I received the same error.

Does anyone know how to fix this error?

Are you patched to update rollup 5? If not that would be my first step.

I get the same error here
I am patched to roll up 5
if i unpublish and edit a previous workflow i cannot republish it, if i create a new workflow i cannot publish it either.
Suggestions?????

I was able to resolve the issue by implementing the resolution used when rollup 2 was installed.
it required editing (adding) a few lines to the web.config file.
i just tried finding the Microsoft KB for it and was not successful.
