Change Sale Order linked to a production order

Hello Everyone,

We have recently implemented Production Control in our manufacturing facility. Our industry is Make To Order where every production order is linked to Sales Order. But sometime, it happens when a production order is started and customer cancelled the sale order.

I need to know if there is any way to change reservation of started production order to a different sales order.

Hi Imran,

When the first sales order status is updated to cancelled and the second sales order is confirmed, run the net requirement from the sales order line,you may observe that system considers the open production order status,you may go ahead and reserve or mark the new sales order quantity from sales order line if needed.

So , which means if sales order is cancelled, corresponding reservations also get cancelled.

If a production order linked (marked / reserved ) to a sales order is started, I think you need to set back the status of the production order before you can reassign it to another sales order line. In all depends on the status of the inventory transactions.
