Hi,

This is in regards to AP and having the sales tax default on our PRs based on the shipping address of our employees (so we have employees who submits a PR and an item is delivered to them. We have 3 buildings that all have different sales tax. So when requestors put in PRs, they sales tax is automatically calculated based on their delivery address (one of the three buildings). Do you know how to set this up? The sales tax is already set up, I just need it to be linked to the delivery address of the employee.

Sorry this is about a year old, but we did find the solution! Unfortunately, I don't think this can be mass uploaded, and had to be done individually (if someone knows how to mass upload this section please let us know).

So go to Human resources > Workers >Workers

Go to the delivery address and go under the "more options", then select "advanced".

After this it will take you to another page, and on the bottom right there is a "general button". Click on that and there is where you can put the Sales tax (you have to set up the Sales tax in sales tax module in order for this to be selectable) that will inherit on the PR. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your response!

Yes you are correct, I am using PRs as an abbreviation for purchase requisitions.

The employees are set up as workers and employees (not vendors), but their profile is tied to one of three buildings.

The only area in which the tax is configured is for use tax (under set up Tax), and I manually enter those in (We have several buildings, but only two with tax rates since we only have offices in two different counties, in the same city, In the US.

I do not see a link to the ship to address and tax, so I think that is the key piece I am missing. Is this enough information for this?

Hi,

You use PRs as an abbreviation for purchase requisitions. Is that right?

Are your employees setup as normal vendors with an address in one of the three buildings?

For which country/region has the sales tax been configured?
