Geo Coordinates can't be inserted into fields

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi everyone,

I recently installed field service. I wanted to try the address autocomplete and everything looks fine except the part with the geo coordinates.

The correct address will be found and can be selected but after that I get an error popup saying "Enter a value from -180,00000 through 180,00000" and after that again "Enter a value from -90,00000 through 90,00000".

This is an invalid input error for the two fields Address 1: Longitude and Address 1: Latitude. I checked in the network tab what is happening and it looks like the crm is requesting coordinates for my address and the geo api is returning them in the form of 48069835.0 and 9952782.0 which is not the correct format for geo coordinates and it does not match the formatting of the two default crm fields. I can check the coordinates with google or bing and they should actually be 48.0698350 and 9.9527820

Is this some formatting issue that I can fix somehow?

Eagerly waiting for your replys.

Kind Regards,

Marcel

This was a problem with the IIS Localization setting. Changing it in the IIS to english solved the problem. I think the setting has to match with the default language of the CRM.

yes, that is correct. It's on prem and I installed FieldService-OnPrem 6.3.0.35

The on Prem version of the crm is 8.2.2.112 btw.

It looks like you have FS installed on an on-premise system. Could you please provide the version of FS that you have installed?

I can also provide some screenshots to make the problem clearer:
