I am trying to understand, Financial Reports > Balance Sheet report > where does this report get data from, as in what is the source of information for this report?

Hi,

The main source of the data is the table DimensionFocusBalance or the tables GeneralLedgerBalance and GeneralLedgerMainAccountBalance. What tables are used depends on activation of a feature called Performance enhancement for general ledger dimension set balance calculation.
