Can anyone explain to me how the 'Delegate after x days' setting works, on approval workflows?
Is it meant to automatically delegate after 1/2/3 days? I've not been able to do this - nothing happens after the time period.
Or is a user input required, and if so, what is it?

Hello Julien,
do you want to delegate from user to user or is a workflow group involved?
For user to user it should delegate automatically if
1. you added a substitute approver in the Approval User Set Up. (Problem here is that you only can insert users not workflow groups)
2. after you activated the workflow with Delegation a new entry in the job queue was created.
So if you start an approval workflow you have 2 time periods running. The first is the time until the approval gets delegated (1d in your example). The second is the time until the task for delegation is run by the system. It is set to run once every 24h by default.
