Dynamics Nav Report Page Count

ReportReport
Posted on by 35

Hello,

Am using Dynamics Nav 2016 and have a requirement to get the number of pages a report spans when generated. I've searched the net but can't seem to find a solution to this.

Is there a way to capture this?

Thanks.

If you want to display the Page Number on the Report then you can use built-in field "Page Number".

    Refer below link:

    Use Globals

    Globals.PageNumber & " of " & Globals.TotalPages

    Thanks Amol,

I however need to capture the page count inside the C/AL Code. Is this possible?

    Hi Yogesh,

If you want to know the Page count in C/AL code there are no standard functions available, but if you can control specified number of rows per page , you can calculate the Total Number of Pages depends on your record count.

Example if you print only 20 rows per page and you have 100 records your page count will be 5.

    Junnav ,

Yes you can do this , but practically its very difficult task

you have to do this by report wise but there are huge report amount there...

But if you worry about several reports  only you can do this

    Hi

What exactly you are looking for , if you want to do any calculations in C/AL using Total Page Count , you can do those calculations in RDLC Code.

Not able to understand why you want to do in C/AL code when there is global function available to suffice this requirement.
