Hi everyone, I hope you guys are doing well. I'd like someone help me teaching me how to create segments for sending e-mails to different languages audiences? (Spanish and English). My database has contacts of both languages and I want to send my e-mails in both too. Thanks.

    In addition to the way Joannis described to build the segments, you can now use a single email and use the Conditional Content feature to dynamically place text in the correct language for each recipient. learn.microsoft.com/.../conditional-content

    Hope this helps

    Hi Mich,

    the warning is saying that, because all the interactions made with the one e-mail will be attached on just that one. If you have 2 different segments and pool of people you will see also differences in how they open and click emails. If you use the exact same email for both lanes, these informations won't be seperated.

    So you should do a copy of this email like S1 and S2 and use it for the specific segment. Then you can use this data properly.

    If its not neccessary for you, you can do it with the same email. Just be informed about it, that its like mention above.

    Regards

    Joannis

    can you please help me with this scenario

    I chose 2 segments to send an email >> lane 1; it is an AND with exclude the second segment

    I need to send to 2 other segments with OR

    I created a second swim lane with the same email but get a ! warning that I am using the same email for 2 swim lanes

    is that not possible? will it the email get sent properly

    how do I use OR and AND when setting up audiences for the same email?

    Yes, this is 100% possible as long as you are capturing something like language or Country for your contacts. It is a lot of work to set up, but you will be able to have just the one email.

    Check here for more information: Add dynamic content to email messages (Dynamics 365 Marketing) | Microsoft Docs

    This is the example they give on that page:

{{#if (eq contact.address1_country 'Denmark')}}

       Hej

    {{else if (eq contact.address1_country 'US')}}

       Hi

    {{/if}} {{contact.firstname}}!

    alemieux69 This will require that the contact must have some field such as Country or language filled. If the field isn't filled, it might end up with a empty email :)

    That's a good solution but it still requires building separate emails, one for Spanish and one for English (per your example). I am looking for a solution that would require only one email and then the content would be dynamically changed based on preferred language. Is that possible?

    Hi there,

    First of all - Do you have the Data provided so you could select it in the contact entity? For example the language should be provided for each contact:

    Secondly, there are different option you could build up a customer journey with different swim lanes and segments selected by language.

    2. pastedimage1653293748409v3.png

    I build two segments with spanish and englisch speaking customers.

    Then I can Build a Customer journey with 2 Segments and 2 Email - each for the language need.

    As you can see, this would be a simultanously effort you have to put it. But you can easily do it and have no big technical issues. This is also a good option have 2 forms where the different customer groups can fill up the form and get into Subscription List (englisch and spanish). So you always know the the Lists depend on the language the customer wants to read.

    The other option could be with personalized content blocks. Which is now not really provided with D365 outbound marketing. It will come with real time marketing as I understood.
