Automate sending the approval request via a Job Queue

I have set up a sales order and I wish to automate sending the approval request on a job queue, i.e. we don't want to have to manually kick off the Request approval. How can I do this on Job queue?
I have the same question (0)

As far as I know its not possible out of the box. You can create a custom codeunit that will be used in the job queue. You can also look into using Power Automate as perhaps you have more flexibility there. But how will you know when the order is finalized and is ready to be sent for approval automatically?

There is really no way in the standard. Even if you set the standard Codeunit, it will not be applied to the current document. In any case, this requires customization.

    Hope this helps as well.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

As everyone said it's not possible out of the box.

Additionally, I would like to understand what the trigger is to invoke job queue?

At some point in document, you would like to automatically send for approval but what is that instance. Do you have a custom field, if that is true then you want to send for approval or some other instance.

Based on your response we can surely suggest best way to approach this request.

    Hi @Saurav
The scenario will be a few touchpoints by a few users populating the Sales Order with the final act being the location field in the header being populated. This would be the trigger for the Job Queue.

I also should mention that there will be some Sales Orders coming from D365 CRM system and we would be looking to have those with a status of 'Release' automatically in BC.

In that case I would create a custom codeunit that loops through the sales orders every x amount of minutes and if the location code is not empty it sends it for approval.

Fiy in Business Central the status of a document will be released after its been approved. When you are creating the orders from CRM they have to be created with the status of open.
