Display header information on list of invoice lines

I've created a custom form that simply displays the Posted Sales Invoice Lines list.  I would like to show the customer's PO number (External Doc No. from the header) on this list so I can easily look up whether we've shipped & invoiced a particular line item on that PO.  I just can't get it to work.  I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing.

    You can create a flowfield and add to the list or create a global variable and assign the value to it onAfterGetRecord of the page by retrieving the header record.

    Thanks.  I was hoping do it within the form, but I'm just the admin, not the developer.  Our license doesn't support me changing code on forms, as far as I know.  I can add custom fields to the table, but I really don't like messing with the database schema if it isn't absolutely necessary.  At any rate, the flow field worked and I can get the info I need.
