Default Company in user options in Finance and Operations is being ignored

My end users have raised an issue with me recently where they have tried to change their default company via their user options but this is not being applied. I have tested this and can confirm I have the same issue. When I log in it is always to directs me to the 1st company in the company drop down list in this case company 1010, but my default company is set to 1030. We are currently on release 10.0.14 (10.0.605.20012) platform update 38

Has any one else encountered this issue and if so do you have a solution? I have searched the latest bug fixes and done a general internet search but uncovered nothing so far.

Hi Simon,

I have checked it in our standard Contoso 10.0.14 environment. Everything is working as expected. The legacy entity from the user setup is used. Also in 10.0.15 everything is fine.

Hi Simon,

I agree with Christoph, I checked in 10.0.14 (10.0.605.20026), its working fine.

2 things I see here

1: User and you are using the link or bookmark which has preset company ID and system is taking to that only.

2: If this is an issue you still face, kindly upgrade to either upper binary Version of 10.0.14 or service update to 10.0.15.

How do you log into your system?

Do you use a saved hyperlink that points to company 1010?

yes thank you in my case that is true I have accidentally shortcut the hyperlink including the company 1010. I will verify this is also the case for the users.

thanks for your help the solution was as Ramit and Ludwig suggested having the company saved in the browser shortcut/favourite. It has been a tough week normally I would have spotted this.
