async Server issue synching metadata after upgrade from previous ax2012 version

Posted on by 452

After deploying the Async Server,  hitting the sync metadata option in Retail Scheduler Paramaters, we had an issue (infolog error running in AX) that said something like target column name should be unique dataareaid already exists.

We came to notice that it was an issue with the P-job definition, as we were working with a migration from AX2012R2CU7 to AX2012R3CU9.  the solution is to clean the p-job definition and reinitialize retail from Retail Parameters.    if you are going to keep old stores you may need to dig into each p-job definition and redefine it.

delete the p-job from retail scheduler, and from subjobs.  then run back again initialization  and metadata sync will run.
