Web service - read

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have created a new table and page with 2 fields - Item No. and Item No. Zero (from another system) so I can map those because the ID's are not the same in both systems.

The web dev now says that he cant read the data from the web service I have created for him. It is just a plain table with 2 feilds and a list page. Should I add some code on the page?

Thanks in advance

Normally you do not need additional code. So have you published your page as a web service? OData or SOAP? What tools your web dev has? Does your web service works fine if you check it in browser? (msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh166960(v=nav.90).aspx)

you can create a xmlport to export the data and create a codeunit function to call the xmlport and publish the codeunit

then he will see the function to read the data..
