Hello Team,

Could you clarify how to change the default posting date period for documents?

I want Navision to fill in the current date, But, I see that by default, Navision doesn't use the current date.

I have the same question (0)

If you want it automatically filled in when you create a new sales order you need to do that through a customization. No standard functionality to fix that.

    Andrew,

When creating a Document the Posting Date will default to today's date. When a User Posts Receive/Invoice or Shipment/Invoice then it is the Users responsibility to update the Document Date to the correct Date, which will update the Posting Date. Now if you are trying to update the Posting Date to = Today automatically, in case the User forgets, this will require a customization.

Now one thing to look at for setup, on the Sales & Receivable Setup page, their is a field called Default Posting Date and you can choose Work Date (which is Today) or No Date.  The same setup field is on the Purchase & Payable Setup.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Hi, the default setup is Work Date, If your Work date is current date, it will be fine.
