Hi guys,

Just curios to know, when we import customer master, with DMF, with some normal (basic) information of customer data, contact persons and addresses.
How much record is the average per minute ?

Same question about vendor as well. Btw, this is for D365 FO, not AX or on-premise.

Because some say, for customer, it may took 5 records only per minute, so for 400 customer only can takes up to 1.5 hours. Now I have 6,000, not included few contact person in 1 customer, and few addresses for 1 customer. I'm getting dizzy to even think about the upload process for how long.

For vendor, I have close to 10,000 vendors.

Thanks,

There are many variables, as Layan alludes to, including how many fields in the master record you're populating but my experience over the years has been in the neighborhood of 125 records per minute.  10,000 vendors would take ~80 minutes in a sandbox (Tier 2) environment.

    Hi Teevo,

I don't really think thay 400 customers will take 1.5 hours.
The speed depends on alot of factors like environment itself(if it's devBox or Prod), complexity of the entity, the network...etc

You could test this yourself..Try importing 100 records via DMF 3 times and see how much time it takes in those three trials.

    Thanks,
    Layan Jweihan
