Hi All,
I am new to ODATA Services. I am using VM 10.0.0 VERSION.
We need to test how to integrate D365 using OData .
My requirement is
I am importing Customer data using entity "Customers V3". i wants to send data to .net application which we are imported in to Customer
i followed the link
https://stoneridgesoftware.com/working-with-the-odata-endpoint-in-dynamics-365-for-operations/
is it correct?
Kindly guide me how to acheive the above requirements.
Please give me more shed on this.
Thanks!
Hi
The information in the link looks correct. Customer V3 is available for oData out of the box. There is also a demo repo from MS where you can get some examples (github.com/.../Dynamics-AX-Integration). Also, don't forget to add an application in Azure and set up it in D365 (docs.microsoft.com/.../services-home-page).
BR, Sergei
Thanx Sergey
kindly let me know as you said "to add an application in Azure and setup in d365. how ??
is it mandatory ??
is it possible to do in VM d365 on - permises version?
Hi @rp@n,
Have a look at this blog, It describes in more detail how to use OData entities in .Net.
us.hitachi-solutions.com/.../
In fact, you have many ways to send data to external applications:
Look at BYOD:
docs.microsoft.com/.../export-entities-to-your-own-database

Will
You can take look at thread community.dynamics.com/.../how-to-consume-d365-f-o-service-on-premise-hosted-in-net-console-application. There is a link on how to set up an On-Premise environment. Hope it helps you.
thanks everyone
i saw the links which you shared. now i am little bit confused...
kindly guide the steps need to follow ,so that i cannot miss anything.
please give me more shed on this.
Steps are described in docs.microsoft.com/.../authenticate-with-dynamics-365-for-finance-and-operations-web-services-in-on-premise. Or they are still not clear for you?
in link mentioned Visual studio 2017 but in my VM , Visual Studio 2015 professional is there.
You can try it with VS 2015. There should not be a lot of differences.
thanx
