Method GetCashReceiptByKey doesn't return amount remaining and allocated documents

Posted on by 443

Hello Team,

Could you help me with the following question?

I created a payment with allocation to the Invoice.

To receive payment via API, I use this method - GetCashReceiptByKey.
But this method doesn't return the Amount Remaining field and applied Invoice.

How I can receive this data via API?

You can use GP Power Tools to create custom REST webservices that can be called via Service Based Architecture (SBA).

They can be programmed to return any data from any table.

    Becky,

To receive payments via API, Microsoft Dynamics GP suggests using there are three methods:

    GetCashReceiptByKey

    GetCashReceiptList

    GetReceivablesDocumentList

Using these methods, I can receive the original payment amount.

But, these methods don't return the payment amount remaining.

So I cannot detect the correct payment amount via API.

Could you recommend how I can receive the payment amount remaining via API?

    Hello Andrew,

Thank you for using Community Forums. My name is Becky and I will assist you.

Unfortunately, we don't have any document or list that tells us that every specific field that each Web Services method can return for values. You need to go to this Web Services SDK help file and look at the method references for the objects that closest resemble what you're asking and then looking at them specifically to see if they do, in fact, return what we need or not. If not, I believe you can download them from here as well >> Download Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Web Services from Official Microsoft Download Center.

Download Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Web Services from Official Microsoft Download Center

This documentation describes how to use Web Services for Microsoft Dynamics GP, which you can use to build database integrations.

    Thanks,

    Becky
