Jobs - how to change status of a task or job planning line

Hi All,

We have been using jobs in BC and we know how to change the status of for the whole job however is there a way to change status at task or planning line level

do we have status field on task level? May be I am missing this..

status on Job Planning lines will come from Job status field and is a non-editable field.

why do you want to change at those levels?

Job tasks will be closed in a different sequence to the whole job much like when you create a plan in MS project. We want to close tasks completed so for example we can run report with open tasks etc. I guess the requirement is pretty normal in "project" type of module
