General Journal Line Entry Excel Upload is changing the date of my data

Posted on by 40
Hi,
I am manually uploading general journal entries via excel and it is unwilling changing the dates on my spreadsheet.
I have no idea why it is forcing dates to either January 1st of 2024 or January 31st of 2024.
Any solution for this?

Thank you

Ensure the date format in your Excel spreadsheet matches the format required by your accounting system. Check if there are any default date settings or mapping configurations in your journal entry upload process that might be overriding the dates from your spreadsheet. Verify that the dates in your spreadsheet are correctly formatted and not being converted incorrectly by Excel. Additionally, review the upload template or guidelines provided by your accounting software to ensure compliance. If the issue persists, consider reaching out to the software's support team for further assistance to identify and resolve the date formatting issue. (Source)

First 4 rows are recognized correctly, and also using the date format embedded in the spreadsheet is identical to what I did.
It is so strange how only after row 4, the dates are forced to change as Jan 31st.

Double-check that the dates you're entering in the Excel cells are correctly formatted. Ensure that the dates are entered in the same format as the cell's formatting. For example, if the cell format is mm/dd/yyyy, make sure you enter the date in that format. <slope game>

    Hi Hana,
    Thank you for responding.

I have done it multiple times but it started to be problematic this time only.
Also not all but first few rows are ok but it gets changed after 5th row and they are all in same format.

    Hi,
Can you check if the date format is correct, you can refer to old threads similar to this question. Using Excel Upload to D365 - error in copy and paste dates (dynamics.com)
    Best Regards,
