Sales Tax Calculated Twice on Purchase Order

Hi,

We are facing an issue in D365 Finance & Operations where Sales Tax is calculated twice on a Purchase Order for a specific vendor.

For example, both AIT-0.5%NT and GST-17% appear twice in the Sales Tax Transactions with the same tax rate and amount.

However, when we create the Vendor Invoice against the same PO, the tax is calculated correctly only once.

Has anyone faced this issue before? What setup or configuration should we check to identify the cause?

    Hi @Rashid.Ali,

Does the PO actually have two tax calculation records, or does the Sales tax form simply display two records that ultimately don't affect the invoice calculation?

    Hi @Syed Haris Shah ,

As I've mentioned there are two taxes calculated twice, just showing in PO but at the time of invoice there is only single impact not twice.

    Regards,

    Rashid Ali

    Hi @Rashid.Ali ,

I wanted to understand what happens when you click the Total button under the Purchase Order Action button. Specifically, is the tax amount being doubled in the total, or is the system simply displaying two separate tax records in Sale tax transactions form?

Also, do you know if there is any customization around this area that could be affecting how the tax is calculated or displayed?

    Regards,

    Syed Haris Shah

    Hi @Rashid.Ali ,

The sales tax shown in the PO total is significantly higher than the initial sales tax calculation and seems unusual.

Could you please replicate the same PO in UAT with the same vendor, items, and tax, and verify whether any customization is causing this discrepancy?

    Regards,

    Syed Haris Shah
