Hi Experts,

I am new in navision, i want to know that the functionality related to service giving to clients.

As i am nav consultant and we are giving nav support to our customers. For that service which procedure should need to follow ? for that need to create an item as service or go by any other process ?

    There can be multiple ways of setting this up.

    The simples is to create Sales Orders to customers and select G/L revenue account in the lines to post a variable service that you had provided this month.

    You can also work with resources, setting up your consultants as resource and invoice needed quantity of work hours, provided by them and placed in the time-sheets.

    You can as well look at Service orders and Contract functionality if you would have some recurring invoices to be posted.

    Please refer to MSDN and DOCS official sources to get detailed how-tos and reference material.

    thanks for your suggestion

    If i want to go with sales order then there is no need to  create any item as service ?

    for that i need to create a GL revenue account related to that service and create sales order for that GL account ?
