Hi All,
I am trying to display activities in Portal timeline. I used this article (https://community.dynamics.com/365/b/colinvermandermicrosoft/posts/dynamics-365-portals-display-activities-with-timeline) and followed instructions (timeline configured on CRM form, entities permissions on activity pointer, portal comments and even annotation (read, write, append, append to with parent scope or global, and permissions for custom entities using activities are read, append, append to, web roles configured for those entities permissions).
Portal comments can be created and are visible in both sides while Notes or tasks created in CRM records are not visible on Portal record.
I get ""There is no activities to show" message before a portal comment has been created.
In this blog (https://www.engineeredcode.com/blog/power-apps-portals-notes-vs-timeline-metadata-notes-deep-dive?unapproved=1492&moderation-hash=44ee19eb6edcf058a66beb7aa41aa167#comment-1492), I understood notes should not require entity permission but it is not working for me.
Notes are created in CRM with *WEB" prefix
How can I achieve that ?
Regards,
Hi, I did all metioned steps. Unfortunately when an opp is won or close, there appears only the name of the opp an not the information that it is won or lost. Do you have an idea, why in timeline this information does not shown?

Hi Partner,
As I test in my instance, we could only show timeline or notes in portal.
If I show notes in entity form, then the other activities will not display in the timeline.
Best Regards,
Leo
Hi Leo,
Thank you, it is working for me now.
I just have a question since you provided me those two links. Is it possible to show both Activities and Notes in same timeline like in a CRM form ?
Regards,
gullivereu
Hi Partner,
In default, portal could only show 4 type of activities: Appointment, email, phonecall, portal comment.
If you want to add more activities, you should do the following steps.
1.Go to Portal management->SiteSettings, find "CustomerSupport/DisplayAllUserActivitiesOnTimeline" and set its value to "True", if there is no such settings existed, just create a new one.
2.Go to Advanced Settings->Customziations->Customise the system->Entity->Activity->Views->Portal timeline View, find this view and configure its filter condition.
And if you want to enable Note in portal timeline, please refer to this doc for detail steps.

Best Regards,
Leo
