Hello everyone,
I added a new field to a standard composite data entity by adding the field to the staging table of the entity, the data entity and the destination table. The issue is that I the field is not visible in the visual mapping of the data entity in Data Management. It is visible when I change the view to list and view the mapping. I did all the usual things mentioned in the blogs, DB sync. compiled the Application Suite and project. Refreshed the entity list. In Data Management, I removed the entity and added it again. Nothing helped. The field is not visible.
Did you use "Generate Mapping"

I did try it but it did not work. I is a composite data entity. The error message was that it could not regenerate because of the parent entity. I have tried everything possible without success. I don't want to release it to UAT without knowing that it works in Dev. Any other suggestions?
Edit: to try and "regenerate", I removed the data entity line and added it back again in the Data Management project.
You said that you got an error message that it "it could not regenerate because of the parent entity". Could you please share the exact error message, and the exact process that you did before you encountered it?
That error is gone now.
When I click Regenerate mapping from scratch I am getting the following error now: The data entity Bank statements_BankStatementLineEntity has public field FieldName that is not defined on the staging table BankStatementLineStaging. The field is in the staging table and in the destination table and in the data entity.
Strangly, the mapping details does show the new field but the visualisation does not. I am at a loss. Everything I have tried is not working.
Perhaps you can show the entity and the staging table to someone so that they might spot some issue that you might be missing.
The issue is resolved now by clicking on "Generate Mapping". Thanks everyone.
