Hi All,

I understand that Archiving Jobs are not implemented in the standard business central application, I  will have to implement archiving of jobs using an extension.

Before I start developing I had the following queries.

1.Why was Archiving jobs not implemented, was it for a specific reason?

2.On Archiving when we would delete the Job in the Job Mater data table what other records do we need to handle so that orphaned records do not create a problm.

Regards,

Indira

    Hi,

    1. Many have already given this suggestion to Microsoft to add Job archiving function, may be they will give this option soon.

    2. On archiving, as per me most important thing is that the new Job should not in any way get the same number that was already created and archived because in that case all of orphaned postings will point to this and show wrong calculations for the new job with old number.

Other consultants can add their suggestions
