Error while creating a new number sequence "Company M&S is already associated with a legal entity"

I am trying to create a new number sequence through number sequence for a consolidation legal entity through wizard in organization admin module but receiving this error.

Can anyone help me understand if i am missing anything here?

Error - Company m&s is already associated with a legal entity. Select a different company.

No number sequence has been generated for this legal entity yet.

it seems to me that the company name is incorrect.
can you check it ?

We have created a new consolidation legal entity M&S and we are trying to generate a number sequence for this new legal entity.

Did you find a cause or resolution for this message? I experienced the same thing after creating legal entities in a new environment, then trying to generate the number sequences for the first time.

I found an issue report in LCS - Issue771864 which still shows open and that Microsoft is evaluating.
