How to get Omni-channel trial?

(0) ShareShare

i have created a Virtal Agent (VA) trial, which works fine.

Now I want to check out how the the VA's 'Escalate' functionality works with the Omni-Channel add on.

To add Omni-channel, I have followed option 2 on this link:

docs.microsoft.com/.../try-chat-for-dynamics365

But at step 3, there is no option for me to enable "Omnichannel for Customer Service".

I need guidance of which subscription I need to purchase to be able to activate the Omni-channel trial.

Thanks!

    Hi Asif

It's actually possible to get Omnichannel up and running in a full trial environment, without needing to have paid-for licenses.

I've written a guide to this, which can be found at thecrm.ninja/.../.

You must already have a paid license of Dynamics 365 Customer Service Enterprise in your tenant that was purchased directly through the Microsoft 365 admin center (that is, Web Direct), otherwise the Chat and Digital Messaging options won't be visible.

and then you can start a 30-day trial of Chat or Digital Messaging with 25 user licenses.

After signing up for a trial, you must assign licenses of Chat or Digital Messaging to the users who need to engage with customers and provide support via Omnichannel for Customer Service. This can be done by selecting one or more active users and editing their product licenses.

Please have a look at this :

    docs.microsoft.com/.../try-channels

Please see this MS Ignite sesseion for details and demo.

    Hi Kranis

It's definitely possible to get Omnichannel for Dynamics 365 up and running in a trial environment.

I've done a recent series of blog posts on how exactly to go about this - please take a look at thecrm.ninja/.../.

It is available only when you purchase a subscription to Chat for Dynamics 365 Customer Service or Dynamics 365 for Digital Messaging. below are the steps to provision Omni channel after you purchase the license. Make sure you assign the license to your user record first.

    Hi kranis,

Sorry for the late reply. I lost my original account when I test Account Migration. Your mentioned free Dyanmics 365-trial in Europe. (signup.microsoft.com/Signup) which is still different from https://trials.dynamics.com/.

You mentioned one is one official D365 subscription trial run. https://trials.dynamics.com/ provides the latest version of trian run instance. They are different. You could try the mentioned link first and let's see if there's any solution on it. Thanks.

    Regards

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

What I have done so far:

    1/ Created a free Dyanmics 365-trial in Europe. (signup.microsoft.com/Signup

    2/ Created a VA-trial. (https://va.ai.dynamics.com/#/)

3/ Created an Flow-environment is US region (us.flow.microsoft.com/.../)

4/ I went to https://portal.office.com/ and got Power BI (free) licence.

5/ I went to Admin center for Dynamics 365. I see the other options on the picture you are showing (for e.g. Live Assist add-in powered by CafeX). But not Omni-channel option.

    Please provide guidance. Thanks!

    Hi Kranis,

Could you share more details regarding 'there is no option for me to enable "Omnichannel for Customer Service"'.

Do you still couldn't see 'Omnichannel for Customer Service' in solution after you applied one new trial run instance or you ask this from Purchase Service> Add-ons?

If you get a free 30-day trial of Chat through [View:https://trials.dynamics.com:750:50].

Please note that this option is currently available only in North America, Europe, Canada, and United Kingdom. Your tenant must be located in one of these regions.

I tried to apply on new trial run environment and could find related Omnichannel solution as following screenshot.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
