What are the major issues when Upgrading from Dynamics GP 2013 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Accounting usage?
What are the major difference or benefits with Dynamics 365?
You can purchase a cloud server and move your GP out to the cloud. This way someone else does all your backups. We have a couple of clients who have done this. It does not matter whether they use our cloud server or someone else. This would be a private cloud which gives you total control.
Is it recommended to stick with Dynamics GP and just upgrade to latest version? We rather not host it ourself?
There is no such thing as upgrading from GP to DYN 365. DYN 365 is a completely different product. There is no HR or PR for DYN 365. GP is a mature stable product whereas DYN 365 is relatively new. The biggest issue is there is no migration tool. You will be able to bring over master information but no transaction information. It will be interesting to follow this thread to see what others add.
