How to generate and compile the proxy class in NAV

Hi Team,

In the example described in MSDN article https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh169399(v=nav.90).aspx

This example talks about to use proxy web service class and calls a Read method from the Microsoft Dynamics NAV web service.
WSDL.EXE used for generating proxy class but don't know how to register the CS file in NAV.

Thanks,

Manish Sinha

You don't need to use WSDL to create a proxy, in your VS project just add the ur webservice URL using Add Service Reference and it will take care of creating proxy for you.

Refer this link for adding WebService

    Hi Suresh,

Thanks for your reply. If you check the blog example carefully you will find the code is written in NAV not in VS, see the variable declaration salesOrder & salesOrderService. Both are dot net variable. So there should be a way to generate & compile the proxy class in NAV.

    Thanks,

    Manish Sinha

    Hi Ashwini,

    Thanks for your response.

If my understanding is correct the example in MSDN article provide some solution in NAV only. Not using a custom dot net dll.

    Thanks,

    Manish Sinha

    Dear Suresh,

Please follow the series, next blog in series does the same thing.

    msdynamicsnavashwinitripathi.wordpress.com/.../exposing-consuming-the-web-service-from-inside-navision-part-4

    If you follow full series.

Creates Web Service in Navision & Exposes it

    DLL is created

Using that DLL above Web Service is consumed as shown in your reference sample code.
