i am chartered accountant by profession,now started learning MS dynamic AX,installing first time on my machine having "Windows 7 Ultimate",but facing a lot of problems,can some one guide me how to install MS dynamic AX first time,for practice and

I am self learner,need a help from members of community.I have windows 7 ultimate on my Toshiba Laptop and started installing Dynamic AX but as i am not from IT back ground so facing alot of troubles,and hurdles still stuck

 

I am typical accountant,have previously worked on Quick books,peach tree, and Accpac but never was involved in implementation but now i want to learn all these steps also.please some one help me

    Hello Zeeshan,

    I am glad you wish to learn more about Dynamics AX and please do not fret, as even the most senior developers come across problems :)

    Firstly as Johan asked, what AX version are you attempting to install?

    Secondly, Windows 7 is not a Server Operating System, therefore you will not be able to fully install all the features of AX.

    Finally, please go onto the Microsoft.com Download Center, and download the relevant AX Implementation Guide as it will tell you all the steps on how to install and configure AX, what pre-requisites you require, what are the minimum hardware requirements, and so forth.

    Johan I am installing Dynamic AX 2012,some one suggested me to learn and practice on AX 2009.

    Yes i have downloaded Implementation guide and have gone through the prerequisites but is it possible to install AX on stand alone computer with out having any server-client relation ship?
